Pamplonita enamora a la distancia

La vista desde el corredor vial hacia Pamplonita invita a visitarla. Está ubicado al costado izquierdo del río Pamplonita, sobre un valle que mezcla el casco urbano con grandes áreas de cultivos de durazno, mora, entre otros.

¡Cómo no detenerse para hacer un recorrido por las calles de este municipio, cuya temperatura promedia los 20°C! Le llaman la hija menor de Pamplona, solo 11 kilómetros separan estos dos municipios. La riqueza cultural está en sus calles, llenas de una historia que data de 1550.

Tiene aproximadamente cinco mil habitantes; entre ellos campesinos a quienes es habitual ver cargando el fruto de sus cultivos. Su iglesia, Nuestra Señora del Rosario, es patrimonio cultural desde 1994.

Los acordes de la música colombiana son los favoritos de sus habitantes; tanto, que cada segundo puente festivo de noviembre, en el marco de sus fiestas patronales, realizan el Festival Nacional de Música Andina Colombiana ‘Rodrigo Mantilla’.
